Connect a MacBook to the i3 screen

You can connect your MacBook to the i3 classroom screen using USB-C or HDMI.

USB-C connection

USB-C is the preferred connection when available. It can provide picture and sound and may also support touch control.

  1. Turn on the i3 screen.
  2. Connect the USB-C cable to your MacBook.
  3. Connect the other end to the USB-C input on the i3 screen.
  4. Select the USB-C input if it does not appear automatically.
  5. Choose the i3 screen as the sound output if needed.

HDMI connection

Use HDMI with the approved MacBook adapter.

  1. Turn on the i3 screen.
  2. Connect the HDMI cable to the MacBook adapter.
  3. Connect the other end to the HDMI input on the i3 screen.
  4. Select the matching HDMI input.
  5. Choose the i3 screen as the sound output if needed.

Touch control

Touch control depends on the cable, MacBook, operating system, and local ISB configuration. If the picture works but touch does not, use the MacBook trackpad or mouse and contact IT.
